FALL PRAYER GUIDE

This fall, as a new season begins and familiar rhythms return, we’re inviting our church family to journey together through a shared Fall Prayer Guide - a simple, daily rhythm to help us draw near to God and stay connected to one another.

As school starts, schedules fill, and the pace of life picks back up, this guide is an invitation to pause, pray, and make space for God in the midst of it all. Wherever this season finds you, may prayer become a steady rhythm that grounds us, strengthens us, and draws us closer together.

Let’s commit to praying together this fall - making room for God each day and trusting that He moves powerfully when His people pray.

BETHESDA KIDS CHRISTMAS CHOIRS

It's that time of year again - Christmas is coming and so is our Singing Christmas Tree. We are thrilled to offer 3 choirs for children this year:

• Preschool Bethesda Kids Choir (ages 3-4)

• Junior Bethesda Kids Choir (Kindergarten & Grade 1)

• Senior Bethesda Kids Choir (Grade 2 - Grade 8)

Registration is required for children to participate in the choir and cantata. For all the details and to register, click below.

YOUNG ADULT WELCOME SOCIAL

Welcome back, young adults for another semester!

Whether you’re brand new to Bethesda or you’ve been around for a while, we’d love to meet you, welcome you back, and kick off a new Fall season together!

Join us Sunday, September 27th (new date!) around 12:30 PM, right after our 11 AM Worship Gathering in the Gym.

We’ll have some light refreshments ready, giving you a chance to grab a bite, connect with other young adults, and get to know what Bethesda Young Adults has planned for the semester.

WATER BAPTISM SUNDAY

We are so excited for our next Water Baptism on Sunday, November 15th at 9 & 11 AM!

Water baptism is a beautiful and powerful way to celebrate new life in Jesus. There is nothing we love more than cheering on those who are making the decision to go public with their faith and declare that they belong to Him.

If you’ve been thinking about taking this next step in your faith journey, this is the perfect time. We would be honoured to celebrate with you!

Young adult ONE NIGHT

Join us Sunday, October 4th at 6 PM for a Young Adult gathering including food, friends, worship and the word!

We’ll be hanging out beginning at 6 PM with some pre-service refreshments. Service will begin between 6:30-7 PM. And as always, we will end off the night with some delicious food together.

Alpha

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. Whether you're just checking it out, new to faith, or have been a Christian for a while, you are invited.

There are several sessions in the Alpha Film Series. Each session involves a video, followed by a discussion.

CITYKIDS NIGHT OUT

CityKids is BACK for the Fall! Join us on Thursday, October 8th.

Elementary Kids (Kindergarten - Gr. 6) are invited to a monthly CityKids 'Night Out' on Thursday’s from 6:30-7:45 PM. There will be games, music, snacks, a Bible Story, and of course - lots of prizes!

A new registration for Fall 2026 is needed for every child.

Please note that this ministry is not intended for pre-schoolers. If you are looking for opportunities for your pre-school children, consider joining us at City Tots Community Playgroup.

PLAN TO PROTECT VOLUNTEER TRAINING

We’re doing things a little differently for the remainder of the year!

We have confirmed 2 additional Plan to Protect training dates before 2026 comes to an end, and we invite you to choose the date that best suits your schedule. Please be sure to register for one of these upcoming sessions so your training is up to date before the year ends.

Both sessions will be offered via Zoom.

Plan to Protect training is required every year for all volunteers who work with children, youth, or vulnerable adults. This training helps us create a safe, welcoming, and caring environment for everyone who calls Bethesda home.

If your training is currently out of date, you will be contacted by the church office.

Bethesda Kids Church Registration 2026/2027

Each school year we require a new registration form for every child that attends Bethesda Kids Church. This helps us keep our records accurate and up to date.

If you are a parent/guardian of a child/children that attends Bethesda Kids Church on Sundays, please take a moment to complete this annual online form - one per child.

MEMBERSHIP AT BETHESDA

MUN BUS

We know that it can be so easy to miss out on attending church because of the inconveniences that arise as a student. In 2016 we realized that many of our students were seeking rides to and from MUN campus each Sunday, so we have been providing a bus to help students attend the 11 AM service ever since. 

This is a free transportation service for students/families/individuals who live near or on Memorial Campus.

Students from grades 7-12+ join us for community and discipleship in-person on Fridays (Wednesdays for the months of July & August).

Bethesda Young Adults is a growing community of students and young professionals. Bethesda YAs include students & young professionals (roughly those 18-30ish) from all over the world, doing life together in St. John's NL.

If you know of someone who would like to work on their conversational english skills, we’re happy to connect with them!

Conversation Cafe takes place Online on Mondays and Thursdays from 7-8 PM and In Person on Wednesdays from 6:45-8 PM.

Prime Time People (50+)

This ministry serves mature adults who are seeking opportunities for connection. These monthly gatherings (the last Thursday of each month) are themed banquet meals with presentations and entertainment.

Tickets for each gathering go on sale the two Sundays prior in the church foyer.
