OFFERAMA month
May 2024
Offerama is a Province-Wide initiative, in the month of May, of generosity for special projects connected to sharing the love of Christ and supporting the needs of various societies and people groups.
We hope you take time to view the designations for 2024 and consider how you might support them.
Bethesda has set a church goal of $10,000 that will aid in supporting the provincial goal of $400,000. To give, please note ‘Offerama’ on your contribution.
The content below has been provided by PAONL to promote Offerama.
Missions Offerama is an annual fundraising initiative of the PAONL. Since its inception 2+ decades ago, our Pentecostal family has sacrificially given over $9 million to reach people in more than 40 countries on 5 continents. This is about 10% of our overall Missions Program during that period.
Our missional focus must remain strong. Our reach must be global, provincial, and local. In a world where trouble is present and truth is absent, the gospel must be preached and practiced. We must be willing to pray, give, send, and even go as God calls us. Out of a global population of 8 billion people, more than 3 billion are still unreached without having yet heard the gospel of Christ.

The PAONL, in partnership with ERDO, is providing humanitarian aid to people affected by war, floods, famine, earthquakes, etc. It is a global ministry active in 35+ countries including Ukraine, Kenya, Senegal, Cambodia, Thailand, Afghanistan, Turkey-Syria, and the Philippines. In 2022, ERDO was ranked among Canada’s top 100 charities by Charity Intelligence Canada.
ERDO’s emergency response includes food, water, medicine, bedding, tarpaulins, cooking utensils, and medical assistance. For over 25 years it has assisted thousands of people living with severe poverty, natural disaster, civil strife, famine, and disease. ERDO facilitates solutions that are creative, innovative, and relevant for meeting the real needs of people and their communities.
ERDO provides short-term relief to families experiencing severe poverty, and partners with communities to develop their God-given resources. It helps families and communities to become more independent through conservation farming techniques, micro-enterprise, animal husbandry, clean water, and infrastructure programs. ERDO enables people to build a better future.
Wherever there is poverty, hunger, disaster and injustice, ERDO is there on our behalf.
Global Missions
Goal: $125,000
Global Worker Vehicles ($50,000.00): Vehicles are essential for Global Workers. As with most of us, vehicles are not only needed for family reasons, but are also necessary for ministry purposes. In many overseas contexts, vehicles can be costly to purchase, maintain, and replace. The PAONL is responsible to ensure the mobility of our Global Workers is safe, reliable, and functional.
Business As Mission/RAN ($25,000.00): BAM is a growing reality in Global Missions. The PAONL/PAOC believes that business is a God-given vocation that provides multiple benefits to people and communities. As a result, entrepreneurial Global Workers can utilize their unique skill sets for kingdom purposes. BAM is often the only open door into Restricted Access Nations.
B4T Incubator Pilot Project – Latin America ($25,000.00): Business 4 Transformation (B4T) involves equipping and mobilizing Christian entrepreneurs into unreached areas. We are proud to sponsor a B4T Incubator Pilot Project in Latin America/Caribbean for the Spanish speaking world. Our Global Worker team will catalyze the mobilization of new workers among unreached people groups.
New Ministry Initiatives – West Africa ($25,000.00): The PAONL/PAOC is active in West Africa. In addition to our current missionary enterprises in Dakar, Senegal, new ministry initiatives are being launched in the Saint Louis Region to the north and among the Pulaar people. Our support will help to establish new Ministry Training Centres for discipleship and mobilization in the future.
Home Missions
Goal: $175,000
Church Planting Initiatives ($100,000.00): The PAONL has a vision for Church Planting. We believe God is calling us to plant new churches in urban and rural areas. The Avalon Peninsula has the lowest number of Pentecostal churches per capita and there are regions in the province with no evangelical presence. Our vision, prayers, and giving will help us to plant where God is leading us.
New Strategic Initiatives ($25,000.00): The PAONL has partnered with local assemblies in recent years to launch strategic initiatives. A strategic initiative involves ministries that go beyond the four walls of an assembly to reach the community in different ways. We are praying and believing for God to give fresh visions to Pastors and Church Boards toward creative and innovative ministry.
Local Outreach Projects ($25,000.00): The PAONL budgets for Local Outreach Projects annually. Home Missions/Supplemented Assembly pastors are encouraged to plan activities that will have a positive impact on their communities. Outreach funds may be available upon the presentation of a ministry outreach proposal. Our giving will strengthen the hands of our pastors and people.
New Canadians Initiatives ($25,000.00): Canada and other developed countries are creating space to welcome people from other nations. In one year (2022-2023) over 5,300 new people came to NL. In response PAONL Assemblies are reaching out to newcomers within our communities. Support may be made available to churches needing start-up funds for ministry to New Canadians.
