The family of Morley Whitt are inviting friends and acquaintances to join them for a celebration of Morley’s life on Friday (Aug 13) at 2 PM.

Obituary
Morley E. Whitt passed peacefully away at the age of seventy-one on August 10, 2021, at his residence in St. John’s, NL, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 12, 1949, in Humbermouth to Ivan M. and Mary (Hefferton) Whitt. He spent his career as a teacher in both high school and colleges in a variety of countries, including NL, Liberia, West Africa and Qatar, from 1972 – 2007. Morley lived a full and purposeful life, always expressing his faith through daily acts of love and kindness. He was devoted to his family, to God, and to others.
Left to mourn are his wife of 48 years, Sharon G. (Peters) Whitt; sons Christopher, Andrew (Terri); daughter Christiane M. Dawe (Richard); sisters Clarice Power, Fern Regular, Lois (Wayne) Moore; brother Geoffrey (Jaclyn) Whitt; sister-in-law Ruth Whitt; grandchildren James, Simon, Maria, Sophie, Thomas, Lily; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and colleagues.
He was predeceased by father Ivan Maxwell Whitt, mother Mary Theresa (Hefferton) Whitt, and brother Irving Alfred Whitt.
Visitation will be Thursday August 12, 2021, 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., St. John's, NL.
The funeral will be Friday, August 13, 2021, 2:00 pm at Bethesda Pentecostal Church, McDonald Drive, St. John’s.
