We welcome you to join us in-person or online Sundays at 9 or 11 AM (NST) as we reflect on the Advent season together.

You are also invited to celebrate this holiday season with us in a variety of ways, there are events and memories to be made for all ages.

DECEMBER 7 (6 PM) & DECEMBER 8 (11 AM & 6 PM)

The Singing Christmas Tree is the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season! Join us for one of 3 presentations, and invite along a friend, coworker, or family member.

This is a powerful presentation of music, children’s choir, advent celebrations, and more.

JINGLE JAM: FAMILY EXPERIENCE

NOVEMBER 24 (4 PM)

Our annual Christmas Family Gathering is a great hit with the entire family. Festive fun, games, prizes, gingerbread houses and more! You can’t beat this afternoon enjoying festivities with your family.

For St. John’s (also known as FOR or #ForYYT) is an ongoing mission of Bethesda Church, as we serve our community of St. John’s, Torbay, etc.

Wow Christmas Breakfast, November 23 AT 8:30 am

Women of Worth Ministries are excitedly anticipating another festive breakfast and gathering with the women of our community. The first of 2 Saturdays will take place on November 23rd at the Holiday Inn. Tickets are now sold out for this event.

jingle jam: Family experience, November 24 at 4:00 pm

Your whole family is invited to experience Christmas together, where you’ll sing songs, play exciting games, laugh until your sides hurt, and hear the Christmas story told in a way that engages every age. We truly cannot wait to experience Jingle Jam with you! Click below to join to RSVP.

City Tots Christmas Party, November 27 at 10:00 AM

Our bi-weekly community playgroup for children 0-5 years are celebrating Christmas with crafts, singing, snacks, and freeplay! Our Bethesda Kids Team would love to see you and your tots there! Learn more about City Tots. The registration link will be made available soon.

lytehouse youth christmas party, december 6 at 7 pm

It’s one of the final LYM (Grades 7-12+) events for 2024, and this event is getting us in the Christmas spirit. We’re celebrating Christmas with some gift exchange silliness and a whole lot of fun. More details coming soon!

Singing Christmas Tree, december 7 & 8

Join us the weekend of December 7th (6 PM) and 8th (11 AM & 6 PM) for our Singing Christmas Tree! Join us for one of 3 presentations, and invite along a friend, coworker, or family member.

It promises to be a powerful evening of music, children’s choir, advent celebrations, and more. We are also celebrating the 2nd week of advent (theme: Peace).

Lytehouse Youth Christmas banquet, December 13 at 5:30 PM

They call it Christmas Prom at LYM. Students look forward to this event year after year. Dress up and enjoy a festive meal, followed by some games and activities. Tickets will be available soon!

joy: 3rd week of advent, December 15 at 9 & 11 am

Christmas supper bowl at Cornerstone, DECEMBER 21 at 5 PM

Our volunteers will head downtown to provide a hot meal of Turkey Dinner to our friends at Cornerstone Ministry Centre. For more information on how you can get involved, visit our For St. John’s Christmas Initiatives page.

Christmas Eve Service, DECEMBER 24 AT 6 PM

One of the time honoured traditions of Christmas at Bethesda is the annual Christmas Eve Service! And you are invited to join us! We will also be lighting the final advent candle during this special gathering.
