Welcome to Bethesda Kids!
It is our joy to serve your family as you invest in the faith and character of your children. Here are a few of the ways we partner with parents.
For all of these programs, guardians are asked to register their children though our Children’s Check-In Desk (located in the main entrance). Guardians are then provided a special coded sticker to use to check their children in and out of their locations (nursery, classrooms, etc).
What happens on Sunday?
Even if you’re unable to join us in person, we are eager to resource parents and guardians to invest in the spiritual development of their children.

Nursery (9m-3yrs)
Sunday’s from service start until the end of the service.
Our Nursery is staffed by dedicated and trained volunteers. Children play in a child-friendly space, where they can play, sing, dance, and enjoy snacks with friends.
There are also facilities available for parents who wish to take a break from the service with younger children, this includes a private nursing room and a comfortable space for smaller babies under 9m and their parents/caregivers.

Preschool (3yrs-5yrs)
Sunday’s following the worship portion of the service (approximately 40 minutes into the service) until the conclusion of the service.
We believe that children, even at a young age, have the potential to begin understanding basic concepts about God. Through Biblical based stories, lessons are planned so that children can learn: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Our Preschool Classes operate in all Sunday services. Children learn through creative play in a large space with enthusiastic teachers and volunteers. They participate in a variety of games, crafts, songs and play. Guardians are welcome to watch their children acclimate to their surroundings via a secure viewing room.
Kids Church (K-Gr. 6)
Sunday’s following the worship portion of the service (approximately 40 minutes into the service) until the conclusion of the service.
Our Kids Church program aims to enhance your children(s) experience as they grow in their understanding of faith and in Christian community. Curriculum is character building, with focuses on Following Jesus (understanding scripture), Growing in Faith (growing in Christian character), Serving Others (leadership opportunities), and Giving Generously (service projects).

What we offer throughout the week
CityTots (0-5yrs)
Bi-Weekly on Wednesdays, 10:00-11:30a (Sept-May)
A relaxing time where parents/caregivers get together and connect with other parents/caregivers, while at the same time, providing a safe environment for their children to play with other children. All are welcome, as we provide a variety of fun and exciting activities for children and parents. Snacks Provided.

CityKids (K-Gr. 6)
Monthly on Thursdays, 6:30-7:45p
Utilizing multimedia, drama, games, prizes, music, creative arts and more. CityKids is a dynamic program, which deals with a broad range of issues, themes and topics relevant to kids.
CityKids provides transportation to a variety of areas within St. John’s.
